'What Are You Doing New Years Eve?' Chord Progression & Lead
Frank Loesser’s “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” is a soft, thoughtful love song about the hope of spending time with someone special. Its easy melody and natural lyrics have helped it become a longtime favorite, especially with jazz singers and classic vocalists.
While it's been recorded by a number of artists, the version by Ella Fitzgerald is probably the most well-known take on it. While Ella's iconic recording is in the Key of Db Major, below, we'll take a look at a version of it in the key of A.
